This airplane resembles a Cessna. It comes mostly assembled as either a RTF (Ready-to-Fly) or ARF (Almost Ready to Fly). It's a good trainer.

11/1/05 - The NexStar has been completely assembled and all pre-flight checks have been made. It's been upgraded with a more durable Dubro 2.25" spinner. The radio also holds a good charge and the engine has been ran and adjusted. It's ready to go.

1/06/2006 - Pictured here after about 12 flights. Flies good and stable with plenty of speed and power. Here's another picture after about 30 flights. The various wing "training-aids" were never installed.

I flew second half of this flight and landed it. *Flight 2:* Solo. Unassisted take-off, simple flight, and runway landing. Slightly chipped prop. on landing.
12/27/05		Maint		Replaced chipped prop. w/ 11x6 nylon. Swapped out all 3 foam wheels for rubber wheels ... CG is still ok. Added foam bracing behind loose-fitting fuel tank and re-siliconed at attachment area.

Friday 1/20/06	ARCS AMA flying field	Flight	Futaba 6-Ch, OS .46fx, A3, Byron 15%, (11x6-N)	*Flight 1:* Basic flight, figure 8 pattern and loops. Poor landing ... prop. clipped runway and killed engine. Plane bounced 5 ft. into air. Managed to land safely on runway with no damage. *Flight 2:* Basic flight with loops and practiced first Immelman Turns. Nice smooth touch-and-go landing mid-flight. More flying and finished with runway landing and taxied to pits. *Flight 3:* Flight in normal and figure 8 patterns. Performed all my learnt maneuvers ... (Many loops, rolls, some Immelman Turns). Nice runway landing and taxied to pits.

On the 3rd flight, completely landed (to a full stop) twice and then took-off again on remaining runway. Finished with a nice runway landing and taxied back to pits.

All 10 landings were good to perfect (ended with engine still running and then taking off again or taxi back to pits to refuel).

Just practiced flying in the wind and landings. The flying went fine but all landings were poor (no damage, but killed engine or ran off runway on all landing attempts).

Just practiced flying in the heavy wind and landings. One good landing. Other 2 landings ... No damage, but missed or ran off runway trying to compensate for cross-wind by coming in at weird angles.
